Is LED safe?
LED is a low level light that is safe & will not damage the skin. This is a NON-INVASIVE procedure, unlike lasers & IPL which can have adverse effects on the skin.
Light therapy is not for everyone.
Specific medications or conditions can cause a person to develop sensitivity to light.The following medications have been known to cause light sensitivity and it is recommended that you suspend the medications for 5-7 days before undergoing light therapy. Please be sure to check with your doctor before discontinuing any prescribed medications.
Contraindications:

Women who are pregnant should consult their physician before beginning LED light therapy treatments.

Clients with Epilepsy or a history of Seizures should consult their physician before beginning LED light therapy treatments.

You must wait five days after Botox or cosmetic fillers.

Porphyria, lupus erythematosis, photosensitive eczema, hypomelanism (albinism), skin cancer, eye disease or retinal abnormalities.

Treatment must be withheld if currently taking Auranofin, known as Ridaura (anti-arthritis).

Currently taking Cortisone injections or any other kind of steroid injection(s).
Cautions with medications causing light sensitivity. The following medications are known to cause temporary photo sensitivity:

Chlorpromazine (Anti-psychotic), also know as Thorazine, Chlorpromazine HcL, Sonazine. OK if medication has not been taken within the last eight days.

Griseofulvin (Anti-Fungal), also known as Grifulvin V, Fulvicin P/G, Gris-Peg. OK if medication has not been taken within the last five days.

Isotretinoin (Anti-Acne), also know as Accutane. OK if medication has not been taken within the last six months.

Tetracycline’s (antibiotic) also known as Helidac, Terra-Cortril, Terramycin, Sumycin, Tetracycline HcL, Bristacycline, Achromycin V, Actisite, Tetrex, Doxycycline, Ciprofloxacin. OK if medication has not been taken within the last five days.

Methotrexate (Anti-Arthritis & Anti-Cancer), also known as Methotrexate Sodium, PF & LPF, Mexate-AQ, Folex, Trexall. You can be treated if the medicine has not been taken within the last three days.

Amiodarone (Anti-Arrythmic), also known as Amiodarone Codarone x, Pacerone.Treatment can be administered only with your physician’s written permission.
